How a pilot project brought the Digital Product Passport to life

A pilot project brought the Digital Product Passport (DPP) to life for biodegradable socks from SockLab®. Using GS1 standards like GTIN, GLN and QR Codes powered by GS1, the project enabled full traceability of materials and production - from cotton sourcing in Pakistan to global supply chain partners. A QR Code powered by GS1, woven into each pair of socks, linked to a DPP containing trusted product information.
The pilot demonstrated how global standards and collaboration across partners and borders can make traceability scalable, digital and consumer-friendly.
